Generation No. 2 2. Eliza2 Kline (Philip1) was born 14 January 1851 in Halifax, Nova Scotia1, and died 09 April 1934 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia2. She married (1) Benjamin McLaughlin3 24 December 1864 in Halifax, Nova Scotia4, son of Benjamin Mclachlan and Anna Bleisteiner. He was born 21 March 1830 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia5, and died 15 August 1872 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia6. She married (2) James David Hall 16 January 1873 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, son of George Hall and Jane Dalton. He was born 20 July 1829 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia7, and died 04 December 1883 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia8. She married (3) Joshua Schwartz 1884 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, son of George Schwartz and Sophia Walter. He was born 14 April 1852 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia9, and died 11 March 1939 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Notes for Eliza Kline: This is the "Dolly Hall" mentioned by Mrs. Harriett (Wainwright) Blades in her oral interview. In the 1871 Census, Eliza is living with her husband Benjamin and his family. Curiously, living next door is Sarah Bremner. Bremner is the maiden name of Elizabeth Stawell's mother, Mary Romans Bremner, who left her husband in 1860 for unknown reasons. We know that Mary Bremmer left her husband in 1860, and that according to the 1871 Census, Wenman Stawell was living in Lawrencetown alone without his children. There is also reference to a Daniel Bremner whose wife is not living with him. Where is Elizabeth Stawell at this time? Where is Mary Romans Bremmer? Could they have moved to the Lunenburg area? Is this how Elizabeth met Joshua? Eliza Schwartz's obituary follows (Thanks to Dave Tanner, Lunenburg Nova Scotia for a copy of this article):

According to oral stories, it was Dolly who encouraged Joshua to farm out his daughters in order to be able to care for the Hall Children, and their son George.
