 Osman Dutch of Bridport, Dorset England and Some of his Descendants

      @1.  Osman1 Dutch was born Bef. 1584 in Bridport, Dorset England, and died December 1684 in Gloucester, Massachusetts1.  He married Grace Pratt 1628.  She was born Abt. 1607 in Bridgeport, Dorset England, and died 10 October 1694 in Gloucester, Massachusetts2.

Notes for Osman Dutch:

According to Grace Dutch's court petition to the General Court dated 21 July 1685, Osman died in December 1684, aged well over 100 years old.. Osman was a Gloucester Selectman in 1650.  His estate was valued at 83 Pounds, 10 Shillings.

According to the petetition of Grace Dutch, widow of Ossman Dutch to the General Court dated 21 July 1685, Grace had lived with Ossman for over 50 years.

      @6.  Hester2 Dutch (Osman1)14 was born 163915, and died 06 September 1721 in Gloucester, Massachusetts15.  She married Samuel Elwell 07 June 1658 in Gloucester, Massachusetts16, son of Robert Elwell and Joanne ---.  He was born Abt. 1635 in Dorchester, Massachusetts16, and died 24 November 1696 in Gloucester, Massachusetts17.

Notes for Hester Dutch:

Esther b. 1639, wife of Samuel Elwell on 30 October 1692 along with two other women, Rebecca wife of Richard Dike , and Abigail Rowe, daughter of Hugh Rowe, all of Gloucester, were taken to Ispwich, for examination on a charge of witchcraft, but were all released on 7 November 1692. (Source Levi Henry Elwell, 1854-1916) 18

Hester, due to sickness and poverty was, like her mother a "poor distressed widow" for many years19.
